Integral Garage Fire Door

Help Please

I know I need to fit a FD 30 door between my kitchen and new integral garage but not sure whether its obligatory for door to be hinged on kitchen side and open into kitchen ??

Also do I need to rebate base of door to accept intumescant strip??

Any advice would be much appreciated

the door can swing into the garage or kitchen, it matters not.

there must be no interference at the base of the door - so no to the intumescent strip.
