We have the smallest bathroom on the planet and my grandmother is needing more and more help so to give a bit more room, I think I'm going to have to replace the door with a bifold door.

My questions is (and sorry if it's a dumb one), is there a way of locking a bifold door?

bolt into ceiling and/or floor. An espagnolette would do.

You can also use a hook-bolt lock as used on sliding doors, but it will not hold the door tight.

Even a hook-and-eye or cabin hook would hold it, though not very firmly. That might be OK with an infirm person, as you could, in an emergency, lift the hook from outside with a tableknife.

I think I have seen hook-latches in disabled cubicles.

Fab, thank you. Just hope these moulded bifold doors have enough substance to hold a lock!!
