hi all am considering putting a doorway through an internal wall in my bungalow it would be through a 4" blockwork wall the wall stops at the roof joist level and a small portion continues up to hold the roof about 3ft from where i wish to put the doorway will be a 2'6 door fitted so can i use a 1200mm concrete lintel? many thanks
is concrete lintel ok?

a concrete lintel will be ok for a standard door opening, provided there are no structural load bearing elements directly overhead.
100mm bearing each side for a pcc lintel is fine, so a 1200mm lintel will be most suitable.
