Electrician pulled up the floorboards to relay some cables and exposed some odd looking insulation on the radiator pipes. Is this asbestos or possible fibreglass? Close up it looks very fibrous - its not been disturbed but we do want to move the radiator in a week or two so it would be good to know if its safe or requires further investigation.

Ooooo ... definitely could be, doesn't look like the usual hair felt lagging, more like fibre matting that could have asbestos in it. Would do a home testing kit to be sure, plenty of PPE when sampling.
