Hi
Brought a 10W LED outdoor flood light to replace a broken halogen one, the current cable is looking a bit ropey and a small part of the cable will now be open to the elements as the light fits off a bracket where the current one fits direct on the wall and goes straight into the garage so need to replace it.
The instructions on the light just state the cable needs to be 3 core, round and at least 6mm in diameter (whole cable) to make the connection water tight. The light states the power consumption is only 10W so is a 0.75m cable fine to use? The one we've brought is Nexans 3183P which is for ponds as we thought it would be better for outdoor use and looks quite robust. We also have a 13amp 'tough' plug to wire it into which will be inside the garage so doesn't need to be waterproof. Just want to be sure the cable will be fine as the instructions were useless in this area.
Thanks
