My mate moved into a new build last year and had a leak from a meter blank under his kitchen sink within days of moving in. I gave him a new blank and last night it leaked again.
He sent me a picture and I wondered firstly if that’s right for an internal meter and if the cap should be used when the waters on or if it should be swapped for a meter? The stoptap is a 25mm Plasson one integrated into the meter housing. He says the cap thread is very loose into the fittings thread.
I don’t do much with meters but have the same Plasson stoptap/meter fitting that I use to help find leaks. I told him I could give him a meter or pipe it through but not sure what to do.
