Ok I didn't see second line of your post when I first viewed it - strange.....

So if it's part of a boiler can you not get it as a spare part?

thx guys......probably not clear but its not a boiler ev (although probably was)...its an external one on the return pipe.
in the end bought a universal one and re-routed the pipework so it would fit in the cubby hole
