Good Evening.

I have a Black and Decker Jigsaw. I fitted a brand new blade.

I then used it to cut through two 4ft. lengths of 18mm chipboard.

The blade was then totally worn out. Is this normal wear.

The blade was a C.K type C.

Any advice would be much appreciated

yes
you may get up to 5 times more cut in chipboard with a decent blade but they are consumables

depends on use
a cheap coarse blade like un ground 111c for chipboard if accuracy is secondery
fine cuts101a or b ground blade or 101ao ground for tighter curves
