I recently passed my 2360 part2 then 2381 16th edition, i'm now studying 2391. I wish to join NICEIC domestic installer scheme. When you 1st apply you pay £400+VAT, do you then pay the £340+VAT as soon as you get accepted or the following year?
It says you have to show assessor 5 jobs, one in progress one minor and 3 completed jobs. What does that mean. Do i physically take him round jobs i've done, or does he just require seeing completed EICs or MWCs? If these were done through Building Control would that be sufficient?
What have other peoples experiences been with joining NICEIC, i'd like to hear

Cheers, but thats were got basic info from, but its not very clear thats why wanted someone to clarify for me

I didn't mean now, but on Monday morning you can ring them, explain your situation & ask what is required of you.

Securespark, i will do that monday but just wanted to mull over things this weekend, and as i've just got in havent had time to ring so thought someone may have been able to help!

hi domestic installer you dont need 5 jobs. go to the niciec website then the domestic install part

You're keen if you can't wait until Monday!

I think from memory you pay about £500 (incl VAT) for the first year and this includes your assessment. For DI you need to show 2 jobs (one complex and one simple) and you will physically visit these with the assessor and carry out tests. I don't think there's too much problem if you've not notified LABC (better if you did though) as long as the paperwork is up to scratch. You could always notfiy AFTER you've got your DI status (changing the dates of course)

Hope this is helpful
