150 mm centers, 100mm centers around the edge and about 10mm from the edge. 22mm ring shank and longer for 4-6mm plywood. Skimcoat all joints and heads.

Skimcoat or feather finish is a fine screed ( like a paste ) that is trowelled over the ply and fills any gaps between the boards and covers any sunken nails or screws.
It dries quickly and you can adhere straight onto it.
If you don't do this then you can get shadowing of any imperfections underneath showing through the Karndean.
