I am working on my new build and want to fit a water filter (for the cold water tap in the kitchen).
However, I don't want to fit a separate tap just for this reason, simply filter the cold water feed into the kitchen tap.
Can I do this? And if so, please can you recommend a decent kit/manufacturer...
Thank you!

Hi

There are taps on the market that have built in filter option. That is hot/cold/filter, the one I have fitted at home was from howdens but I'm sure more exist.

Pegler/Brita do a 3-in-1 tap (hot/cold/filtered).

If you are wanting to use an existing tap, what percentage of the water that goes through it do you think actually needs to be filtered?
Think about washing up, mopping floors, rinsing fruit and veg. None of those need filtered water, so your cartridge will need replacing much too often.
