Does anyone know if you can get a switch that I can easily add into a circuit for under cupboard lights in the kitchen? They are powered off the mains via a transformer and I've added a spur but am unsure about how to switch them on/off.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

A normal light switch will do. Just switch the live and join the neutrals and earths in a connector block

Doh! thanks for that you of course make perfect sense.
I assume I would need to put this switch before the transformer?
I ask becasue I had channelled in power cable to the top of the cupboards which is where I was going to put the transformer but I'm now thinking that if I need to put the switch before the transformer then maybe I need to move the power cable to come out under the cupboard. Unless there is a type of switch I can get that goes between the transformer and the light?

try using an inline switch , they are quite small and cheaper than a fixed light switch , plus they take up less room and it would be easier to fit.

Remember to change the fuse in the spur to 3 amps.
