Hya i have 2 sets of spotlights run from 1 switch a couple if weeks ago i set went off tried bulbs from other set but no joy so it wasnt blown bulbs now both sets are not working but if i turn the lights on i can hear the transformer humming (no puns please ;) ) any ideas thanks in advance

Easiest fix is probably going to be to replace the light fittings.
Probably worth trying a brand new lamp first tho.
 
Thanks for reply would you expect each fitting to stop working within a couple of weeks of the other they both have 4 halogen bulbs in

Check the lamps in the fitting are the correct ones.
If you have put higher wattage lamps in than those needed then you may have blown an internal fuse.
Sometimes, one of the lamps blowing can zap the fuse.

I dont suppose your fittings are from the Swedish flatpack company, are they?
 
Think they were b&q will check lamps would i still hear the transformer if fuse has blown thanks
