I've been staying at my Mum's recently and paying my way with jobs around the house (sometimes dangerous) and one of these jobs was to install her new dishwasher for her. Now not exactly a difficult job, but I am more than capable of doing it wrong. I had it running for 20 minutes with no water going into it, probably got away with that one, and managed to rip the wastepipe away from the sink plughole, we now have a bucket under the sink which needs to be emptied down another sink daily.

Here's where I need your help: How do I reconnect this without doing any more damage?

If I don't do this my Mum is going to spend money on a plumber for what appears to be a simple job that any idiot (me) could handle. She's not exactly rich and has just got back to work after a serious leg injury and her sick pay was minuscule.

Now if you can fight back the tears of sympathy (or boredom) I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks in advance
Patrick

What do you expect us to say!
Yeah I am sympathetic to your plight but theres not much I can do about it from here.
I cant see what you ripped off from where or help you in any way without a picture or a clear description of what you have trashed.

I'll try though and here goes:-

Whatever you have ripped off; stick it back on.
Whatever you have broken; go out, buy a replacement and replace the part.
Make it look like it was before you trashed it.
