Hi,

I'm about to replace my kitchen worktop and taps. There are 2 service valves on the feeds to the current taps. Is it sufficient to use these service valves to shutoff the water to the taps while I replace them or do I need to do more?

Many thanks,

Mark

Sorry for the dumba$$ question :D

Water scares me

Thanks again,

Mark

I've never heard of anyone drowning whilst changing kitchen taps so give it a go ... Armbands would be a sensible precaution though ;)

Just have a quick check that the arrows on the valves are pointing the right way. Its common to find them fitted backwards - when isolated the valve inards could blow out under pressure.
