Looking for some advice please. My wife has chosen some Quick Step 8mm laminate flooring for hall & kitchen. Currently have vinyl floor laid on cork tiles on top of concrete floor. I think I need to take up vinyl and fit underlay under laminate, she is questioning why we cannot use the vinyl as the underlay. Is her argument valid (she has just reminded me she is usually right about most things).

Thanks in advance

Yeah afraid you can't do it, the texture and surface of vinyl does not lend it self at all as an underlay material, the laminiate boards will slide around and the joints will open up Inside 24 hours
