I am laying a laminate floor (B&Q) in the living room, we have a fireplace with a marble hearth which is CURVED, I will have to attach some trim to the hearth to cover the expansion gap, anybody have any suggestions as to what is the best product to use to fix the trim to the marble hearth?

You could use an adhesive product such as 'no more nails' etc, but your problem will be holding the moulding in place whilst it cures.

Just a thought, I have read here somewhere similar to yours and this was round a toilet pan. They use some rope from a boat shop and glued it round the edge then varnish or paint. I think they painted the rope first. You can get rope in difference thickness, shape & design.

thats exactly what I did to mine Masona and around the skirting too.

:) Was it your post then ?

Did you use glue or panel pins ?

The very best thing that you can use to cover (or fill) the expansion gap when fitting laminate up to a hearth (curved or not) is cork. It can be a little hard to get hold of, but your best bet is to find your nearest large specialist hard flooring company (one that have fitters) and ask there. They should be able to sell you a couple of lengths, it aint expensive, ususally is a perfect thickness, and matches most mid shade laminates without further prep

hope this helps

(anything more I can help with, just ask!)
