How much does the dpm for my conservatory floor need to be lapped into the house dpc by?

As I understand it the best way to do this job is with a angle grinder to remove the mortar along the damp proof course, any tips on the best way to do this without damaging the dpc?

doesnt need to be lapped in. if you try you will ruin the existing d.p.c. just run the dpm up the wall so it finishes above your conservatory floor then trim off when its set.

That will certainly make life a lot easier for me.

Thanks
