Im a total novice at DIY, claim to fame was laying a laminate floor at last house!! We have just moved and the downstairs floor is asphelt?? (Black solid floor) I want to lay a tiled floor in the kitchen and conservatory but the floor in the kitchen seems unlevel and has old lino tiles stuck to it. Do these have to come up or can I lay a floor over the top. Ive looked at both the clip together type laminate tiled effect flooring and also proper ceramic tiles. Which would be easier, also what preperation is needed for an asphelt floor?
Thanks for any help and advice.
