Hi all,

Having extended and changed the layout of a property, I now want to re-lay the blue plastic underground pipe from the meter into the bathroom.

I'm hoping all I have to do (after switching off the supply) is to disconnect the black 25mm existing pipe and reconnect with my roll of blue 25mm plastic.

My question is, are there any any rules/guidelines on laying such a pipe? I'm specifically thinking of depth (to avoid freezing) and if I need to cover it over with tape like the yellow tape used for electrical feeds.

Also, does it go straight in the ground or do you surround with pea shingle?

Thanks in advance

Jever

Minimum depth 750 mm, max 1750 mm ideally surrounded by sand, marked with appropriate warning tape and ducted where it enter the property.
