Hi all, I'm laying carpet tiles in the loft this weekend, wondered if there's any advice that you can offer.

Loft area is 6.5m x 3.8m, flat chipboard floor, loft hatch to one side
tiles are B&Q 50 x 50 rubber backed. I've already calculated the amount of tiles required

things I am assuming:

1. mark out centre lines from sides
2. dry fit the tiles first so I can see how to lay the tiles with minimum cuts
3. brand new blade and decent straight edge for cutting tiles

Am I better to use PVA glue, or carpet/double sided tape to fix the tiles?

As mentioned, this is all going in a loft that only my wife and I will use, so it doesn't have to be perfect!

thanks in advance

Sounds like you're bang on really.....look for the direction arrows on the underside of the tile, and use tough double sided cloth tape to hold them down. You can place the tape so that it catches the edges of adjacent tiles.
