Hi, I've had a small extension build on side of my kitchen and just had a question about the depth and possible membrane of screed. I'm going to have a timber floor and below that my building inspector has asked for a screed 6inches below bottom of floor joists. I'm not able to contact my inspector now until Tuesday and hence reason fort question.
Should there be a water proof membrane below the concrete or is this not necessary? Is 2 or 3 inches of concrete sufficient? Thanks
