Hi All,
Hope my subject made sense...
I am hoping to lay reclaimed wooden joist, cut into 3/4" x 9" varied lengths onto my downstairs concrete floor.
Now this is the interesting part.... I am wanting to match level with the tiled kitchen floor which is 1.5" finished height.....
What should I do... lay a chipboard on adhesive to 3/4" then float the boards? Chipboard and nail?
Please help....
Thanks

9 inch is rather wide as they are old boards you may be ok but they may cup
would be safer to rip them down the middle

Ah! Damn it! I do like the wife boards as I wish to achieve a realistic look as possible! What about the laying/ raising idea? Thinking on moisture avoidance and solid underfoot? Thanks
