Hello,

Wondered If anyone could advise me on connecting a wall

mounted TV. The screen is mounted directly above a fuse

connection unit. Is it good practice to run the TV flex straight

down to the fcu behind the plaster, or run t&e from the fcu

to a single socket behind the LCD.

Thanks

Craig.

not good practice to bury the TV flex in plaster.

if the TV uses a standard detatchable mains lead (IEC or figure:cool: then fit a flex outlet plate, if the TV has a fixed lead or needs a custom one then i'd use a socket.

I agree.

You have to consider what would happen it the TV became faulty and needed to be returned.

It would be awful to have to chop out the wall again just to remove the power cable, so some sort of plug and socket arrangement is the way to go.
