I have just noticed that a bleed valve is weeping on a double radiator in my bathroom. Seemed to happen after I bled radiators before winter switch on. Have tried opening valve and closing as tightly without straining thread (had one shear on me so am very careful). The radiator is a Myson premier, has a Danfoss thermostatic valve one end and shut off valve the other, but no drain valve. Do I turn thermostatic valve to "0" , shut down shut off valve, and can I then remove bleed nut to clean. I assume that thread is probably rusted. Any help much appreciated>

Try a wrap of ptfe on it but in my books just get as new replacement and fit.......most plumbers merchants stock the various ones......easier in the long run
