Hi All,
I have an old Ravenheat 820, however it has been leaking (seemingly when cold), leave water ont he surface below it, but only need to top up every couple of weeks/month.
Pressure is about 1 bar cold, but was running at 2.5 hot, however, after leaking more than normal over night, hot pressure is now 1.5 (though cold pressure normal)
I had a quick look inside, and there are green scale marks that run down the pipes on the right to the pump (sorry for the poor image), which seem to have been cause the leak. There don't seem to be any visible scale marks round the diverter valve.
I am thinking it could have been a blocked PRV, which has cleared itself? It got serviced last summer, and the guy topped up the pressure in the expansion vessel.
ANy thoughts?
