Thats a typical picture of a Vagrant Ecomax which has not been notified to the maker so that the recall could be done and save all that mess.
I expect the inside of the boiler cover has also had all the foam plastic burnt.
All those problems arise because:-
1. The warrantee card was not sent off.
2. The boiler has not been serviced every year.
3. The owner is not bothered by having to pay for the consequences of a makers defective seal!
