I have searched the DIYNot site and cannot find that my question has been raised before, so....................am I allowed to install an electric cooker myself? I am not a qualified electrician.
There is an electric cooker point that used to supply the old cooker, and there is also a switched socket.
I believe that there is a different supply requirement for ceramic hobs, but am I allowed to connect such a cooker to the original cooker point? Whilst I am quite happy to connect it, I just need to know if it is legal for me to connect it?
Many thanks.
