Hello,
Our garden has a fairly steep slope on one side down to a garage wall (see pics) and makes 6 foot of the garden fairly unusable so we'd like to level it out which would require building the level of soil up (to the green line) against the side of the existing garage wall.
I'm considering building a new single skin wall or using tall flagstones/gabions against the double-skinned garage wall with some damp-proof membrane in between to protect the brickwork but would like some more detailed advice before taking on the task. Could anyone advise if this is a sensible solution, would this work, do I need to build proper foundations and regarding placement of membrane, what drainage I'd need to add under the new turf/soil?
Take care!
Mike
