I thought this might get a lot of hits................it stands for 'Low emission Zone'. This won't affect most of you as it's only London based (at the moment)

Are there many tradesmen on here that are affected???

They are not sure if it to start on 4/10/2010 or 3/01/2012.


Hope it's the latter.

under 3.5 ton will come in october 2010

when they say it's for london shame they didn't know where the boarders
for london are when they put up the signs.

Last I read, (can't remember where ) it's been suspended, the October '10 thing will be now brought in at a later date.

I think any van with a Class IV diesel Engine or better will comply so bad news for all the old Escorts and Trannys!!!

How do they know if a vehicle does or doesn't comply?

They go by weight. If you go to the LEZ website you can type in your van reg and it will tell you if your van will comply.
