Hi,

I have had an LG tumble dryer for two years and as soon as its out of warranty by days it breaks down.
The dryer switches on as normal - select cycle etc and then press start. - the dryer buzzes and the motor moves very slightly one way and then the other and then nothing. I have took the back off and turned the motor and drum and all moves freely.
When I removed the back cover you can see some water staining from the motor area.

Has anyone got a workshop manual for this machine - how do you get the side of this machine off so I can get to the motor - I have priced the motor at 120 but dont want to jump in a buy one if its not the motor.

Thanks in advance

A few companies will still honour warranties that have only expired by a few days or weeks, have you asked?

It's unlikely to be the motor but rather the starter capacitor next to the motor.
