Hiya,

we've got a bit of a problem with our bathroom extractor & light pull set up.

The extractor timer only seems to switch off when the bathroom light is left on.

Having looked at the light pull it seems to be a two way switch and is wired up:

L1 Red
L2 Red
L3 Black

There's are two cables which enter the switch, however the L2 red wire appears to be hooked up to the extractor (we disconnected & taped this off & the fan ceased to work) & the remaining wires in the cable have been snipped off.

The word (COM) is also near to the L1 terminal.

Could anyone help and let me know
- if having the wires from the fan snipped off is normal?
- could we switch the wires round so that the fan timer swiches off when the light is off?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Don't know what you are trying to do.

Is this a new switch and fan or is it one that was already there?
Did it work before you did something?

Post pics of the cable in the switch and in the fan - that might help

Thanks folks,

the light & fan were installed by previous owners - however the fan is loactor a floor up.

Will try putting the fan wire (currently L2 in L3).
