Hi,

I've attempted to change out a light switch (to the black one) which was L1, L2, L3 to COM, L1, L2.

I found a previous thread that says the following applies;

L1 . . . . COM
L2 . . . . L1
L3 . . . . L2

So changed using the above, but it's not working on the switch I changed, but it is on the linked switch.

Can any please see if I've done anything wrong? Thanks.

On the old switch plate switches are the same way up with the two COM terminals at the same ends
On the new switch plate the switches are arranged as one upwards and one downwards,

..............OLD.............................................NEW

Are you saying you've changed from the white to the black?
it's not working on the switch I changed, but it is on the linked switch.
Are you saying that you're only bothered about the switch on the left which is used as a 2-way switch?

Final query (from me), are you sure that on the right hand switch that the 2 red wires, which come from outside, haven't been swapped round?

You were both right! Red wire swapped and now working fine. Cheers
