can any one tell me if ican reduce the length of the flex that hangs from my ceiling, its a bit long and i bump into the light occasionaly????

make sure you isolate the supply to it first.

Its normally easier to shorten it from the ceiling end.

Yep switch off the electricity make a note of where the flex attaches in the rose. Unscrew the rose, unscrew the pendent flex and chop it, then connect up the shortened wire.

It is easier doing this way as it can be a bit fiddly wiring in the bulb holder with the flex dangling down. By removing the flex from the ceiling first you can do the tripping when you're not up on the ladders.

thanks guys, just thought i read some where that the flex had to a certain length, buts that cleared that up, i,ll shorten now..
