Lights gone out but nothing tripped

hi,

My father in laws hall and kitchen lights both went out last night, looked at board and no MCBs or RCD had tripped, tried new bulbs but still nothing.

Any ideas of what the problem could be?

Loose connection in a light fitting, junction box or a switch? Maybe even in the CU. Do other lights on the same circuit still work?

Also find out if any work has been carried out recently i.e. drilling walls, replacement light fittings - that sort of thing.

sorted that thanks mate, loose phase wire in double switch.
