Limewash and conservatory - bad idea?

We need to paint our house as part of an extension project.

We initially specified limewash for the external paint - we really like the way it ages

However our builder is less keen, and has suggested that as the limewash slowly washes away, it is likely to leave residue on our new conservatory.

We understand that limewash washes away, and we're fine with that - but hadn't thought of the impact of residue on sloped glass.

Any insight - is this likely to be a big deal? Should we reconsider?

thanks in advance!
