Hi all,

Long time lurker but never posted!
Wondering if anyone can help me out with plumbing a washing machine in.
Below is an image of what I 'think' will work!
The communal waste (apartment block)is around 250mm to the right of the image and already has a connection for other appliance coming in from a different direction.
I am really limited to one more waste inlet into the waste stack (50mm) which needs to be for the sink / washing machine.
The wall where the sink waste is running is already recessed so pipe run does not obstruct fitment of washing machine.
Will my plans work or is there not another height on the washing machine stand pipe even if there is a way of fitting a sealed pigot, tlike the ones underneath sink wastes!
Any ideas?
Also I'm in Cape Town (recently emigrated) so rules and regs are fairly non existent here!

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Is the stand pipe a long enough length (wold only be 200-250 in length)?
Are the hepvo's needed ( or non return valves instead)?
Is there a separate washing machine type spigot available to fit onto waste pipe?
