I am lining a room prior to painting and have trimmed the paper at the external edges without wrapping round. Am concerned that when painted these edges may show or even lift after a while. Any advice welcome please.

Can I ask, WHY you trimmed it there, when you seem to be aware of potential issues?!? You might be able to use some caulking to smooth the corners - it depends on how sharp an edge you want.

Hi Wabbitpoo. Thanks for reply and sorry for delay in replying. I wasn't aware of any potential problems. Had no problem with internals but don't know what other option I had at external corners. As I understand it 1400 grade paper is too think to go round an external corner so trimmed it but looks rough. Was there another option.
