Hi guys. Just drylined a bathroom with plasterboard and put in a false ceiling (Also plasterboard). Applied two coats of waterproof PVA. I want to part tile the walls and use a lining paper above and on the ceiling to give a smoother finish. I was then going to emulsion the lining paper. (Bathroom also has a shower and extractor fan).

Do you think the lining paper plus emulsion is OK, I am concerned about the moisture. Someone told me the different expansion rates of the plasterboard and lining paper would cause a problem.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

As long as you have taped and caulked the joints well you shouldnt have a problem

I would use a ready mixed paste with the lining paper.
