I've just had my roof stripped of it's concrete tiles, battens and felt and had some repairs done to a couple of rotten ends to the gable end ladders. The roof construction is Trusses covered with ply then breathable paper then battened and tiled. Part of the roof works included new wooden soffits and facias. My builder advised me that I don't need soffit vents with the breathable paper so there are none. I also noticed while the work was being done that the cavity in my double block construction wall is open at the top. There are no cavity vents in the house. I am planning to insulate the loft in the following manner.
Fill between the rafters with glass wool.
Fix 50mm kingspan to the face of the rafters
My questions are:
Will there be any problem condensation wise if I insulate like this?
Can I cover the top of the cavity in the walls.
Regards
Will
