I am considering a loft conversion and obviously need to get power up to the loft.
We have a redundant supply cable from the consumer unit direct into the loft that used to be for an electric shower, can this be pressed into service for new power ring and lighting circuits by the addition of a small consumer unit up in the loft?
Would this be acceptable?
Would it need Part P certification as the existing circuit is already in existence albeit for another use?
Thanks.
