Loft fire window offset in lintel.

the builder, now bust, twice messed up the installation of the fire window in the gable wall of my loft conversion - size & height above floor.

i posted regarding above in "building regulations" part of the forum & after contacting my local BR depy they said a step would be accepted to allow for the floor height (size is ok).

however my only problem now is that the window is offset in the lintel by 1/2 a brick.

can anybody suggest a easy fix?

The lintel does not matter

In that case a pot of paint will do it!

Brick slip or something glued to the left of the lintel to shorten it's appearance.
