I removed my Log burning stove from the flue pipe to replace the cracked tiles underneath. I need to re-fit it. I was going to use fire cement. However there is also a bit of string that seals it. Toolstation sell a glass rope for flues..

It is rated at 550 degrees C. From a bit of googling the fire box gets to about 400 degrees and the flue 250 degrees, does this mean the 550 rope is good enough or is their log burning stove specialist rope that can work hotter?
