I'm looking for some secure storage for my bikes (around £3k worth), garden furniture, BBQ and the likes.
The heavy duty tools are locked in the garage but space is now at a premium.

I have seen what looks like very secure sheds at around £1,100 or more, and a whole bunch of tinfoil crap at £200-£350.

Is there anything in the middle? Do I really need to spend £1,100 to get a secure shed?

I wouldn't keep any of the things you mention in a metal shed. Even if you insulate, it will be permanently wet.

That's a good point, Ceres. They're actually suffering from being in the garage at the moment.

My concern with a wooden shed was around security, but then £400 "metal" sheds seem to be made of tinfoil so perhaps I should revisit wood.

A basic prefab wooden shed is not going to be very secure either. It is possible to build one that is reasonably secure though. The other approach (if feasible) is to make access very difficult for thieves.

A 20 foot shipping container is about £1000 - 1200 and will be more secure than almost anything else at the price.
