Loose light switch cover

Hi

Spark did some wiring for new porch and all fine except this. Gist is that the light switch cover doesn't screw in tightly to the back plate. Have checked the thread in holes in backplate and they are fine but somehow screws don't tighten. Obviously worried as have 9 year old!

Does this sound like screws too short, too long??

Know this is obvious and easy to sort but just wanted confirmation.

Either the threads have stripped on the screws, threads in the lugs are not 100% or the screws are bottoming out against the back of the box.

Call the electrician back now !
