Lovelock was correct........ 43 years later !

A friend watching cop 26 tv reports said an interview with a near East farmer .......he said thirty years ago he could grow any crop he wanted ......now its so hot he cannot grow anything and all his animals have died due to lack of food.

Israel is in the near east.

It doesn't seem to have any problem growing food.

Despite numerous challenges, Israel succeeded in transforming its agriculture sector and emerged as a world leader in agriculture and water management. Israel records the highest cow-milk productivity in the world (13,000 liters vs. 6000 liters in Europe), the highest tomato yield (300 tons per hectare vs.1 Mar 2020

How Israel became a world leader in agriculture and water management

Climate change seems to be blamed for all the worlds problems.
I watched a documentary a while back.
Everthing from the extinction of the Dinosaurs to the fall of the Roman empire, was, apparently due to a change in the weather.

Israel does have a severe water problem.
Without 'desalination' plants that situation would be critical.
Use of seawater has gone from 10,000,000 M³ in 2000 to 200,000,000 M³ in 2020.
Desalination is energy hungry (Removing the water from the salt). The Reverse Osmosis (Removing the salt from the water) process utilised in Israel is less power hungry but still requires about 50% of the energy consumption.
But they recycle 80% of their water.

And we should heed from what history tells us - man made climate change is going to cause global chaos on a scale we can't even begin to imagine.

You apparently don't think climate change is a problem ti's pity you weren't booked to give a speech at COP 26.

I didn't say it wasn’t a problem but the challenges presented by climate change can be overcome.

never heard of this lovelock bloke tbh

nowt will be done about this climate change caper imo ,

The flood of illegal migrants now could become a tsunami in twenty years,

And this is what many climate change activists are trying to tell people.

The main problem of climate change is not "the planet", or life on it, as this will always keep on going. It is the humanitarian disaster.

Why do you think Trump wanted to build a wall? It was not to stop the current flow.

Solutions must be on a global scale to prevent this happening. Or we'll all be screwed.

But our government, like many others, just won't do anything until it is too late.

No it can't its too late.

It's never too late.
But as said, the solutions are not something anybody wants. That is the problem.
We get upset about a few thousand refugees, just imagine what it will be like when a few million want to come here, or, we all need to go somewhere else.

There are about 500,000 Brits at risk of sea level rise by 2050 - that's just 28 years away now. Huge areas of London are at risk - that will be millions of people of all colours suddenly wanting to move to higher ground in Surrey, Kent, Herts, Essex ... and they won't need a boat.

Many of our power stations are also close to sea level.

But so long as people think it is "too late" the government will continue to do nothing, as they don't want to waste their money on future generations, they want to **** it all up against the wall while they are still in power.

Happy days.

Because he was a jibbering racist narcissist.

I dont know about Trump this black guy doesn't agree with you he thinks you've been duped by the media.
