Low-profile plug and socket?

Only if the bookcases can't be moved.

'access for inspection and testing' is not the same as access for plugging the hoover in
It's regularly claimed that having to lift flooring doesn't count as accessible.

Moving a bookcase full of books is a very different matter to moving an item of furniture, even a heavy one.

Unless/until the regs at least attempt to produce a definition of 'accessible', debates like this will obviously always be with us.

Kind Regards, John.

In terms of a low profile plug, I've not seen any thinner than the one on my macbook air, I reckon the body is less than 10mm thick.

I've just taken a picture with a standard molded plug for comparison...

Knowing Apple though, that lead will set you back best part of £30!

Wasn't there a suggestion that those don't meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363? Could you post a photo looking end-on at the pins please?

When I get home I will.
Along with a pic of the iPhone charger which is another amazingly small bit of kit. Not much bigger than the plug I posted, but it contains a tiny smpsu to charge the phone and a USB connector.

Cheers

Thanks toasty. It must have been an earlier version that I saw a complaint about. Yours looks fine to me, without putting a vernier over the photo.
