Dropped into a few window showrooms today inquiring about replacement windows.
One place, when I asked about shoot bolt locking systems said "Oh no these mushroom bolts are far more secure, they're Maco."

I'm not 100% convinced. Any of the window experts on here able to enlighten me?
I found out that Maco shoot-bolt systems are in the Sold Secure list, but not sure about the non-shoot bolt systems.
(Another of the local places offers Kenrick Excalibur locks on Eurocell profiles - though he declined to give me a rough quote on the spot like the other places did)

I would say a Kenrick with dead bolt and roller is the more secure.

Shoot bolt v espag, shoot bolt is only better than espag if hinge bolts are fitted otherwise both as good as each other. The reason being it's just as easy to force open the hinge side, see it done before.
