I need to seal the bath, but I never get the mastic right....

Should it be thin or thick?
How do I keep it looking smart without any bumps and high bits up the wall?
Do i use my finger or tool?

Any advice would be great

it's all in keeping the flow at a steady pace. you don't want it over thick or to thin.
if you get a bit thats tricky the wet finger will sort it out

Put some water in the bath, apply silicon evenly. Now with dry rag in one hand wet middle finger of other hand and smooth silicon for about 12", claen finger on rag, re-wet and repeat until all is smooth.

Simple ;)
