if the gas and water enter within almost inches, do I have to run seperate 10mm cables back to the main earth connection? or can the cable run on from the other bonding clamp??

Yes you can use the one cable BUT it must be one continuous piece of cable- i.e. NO JOINS. Take the cable to the first pipe and strip off a short length of insulation to wrap the cable round the clamp screw and then take the cable onto the other pipe. Hope this helps :D

cheers, yes understand as I do cross bonding like that..

Do the main earth bonding cables ALL need to go to a block on the main board? Thence to an earth spike?

Or can a direct connection be made from e.g. the gas main, direct to the spike, and a second cable from the main board (with installation earth and water main earth connection) to the same spike?

In other words is the cable clamp on the earth spike allowed to accomodate more than one earth cable?
